Today was the last day of cod season we finished the season fishing at Ano Nuevo. Fishing was a little tough but we scratched out a solid day with around 8 fish per angler plus 2 nice Lings and a cabezon. WE will be fishing for the tasty Sand Dabs through the winter. If you havn't tried Dabs you should come out and see why the ling cod love them so much!! We will be running half day dab trips only $49!! Check it out.

ON SUNDAY VELOCITY FISHED UP NORTH OF DAVENPORT. THEY CAUGHT NEAR LIMITS FOR EVERYONE, QUALITY BROWN, YELLOW AND NICE COPPER ROCKFISH MADE UP THE MAJORITY OF THE CATCH, WITH 3 LINGS RELEASED. ROUGH OCEAN TODAY! NEXT TRIP IS SATURDAY OCT 24TH.

On Saturday Velocity fished up at Ano Nuevo. They had a great day of fishing, boating limits of rockfish and eight nice lings to 10 lbs for 34 fisherman. The fish were mostly good size yellows with a few big reds and one SEVEN pound Black Rockfish, WOW!. The next trips will be a pm twilite trip on Sat. and a full morning trip on Sunday--space is available.

On thursday Velocity fished the local reefs north of Santa Cruz. They caught limits of rockfish for ten people and one keeper ling cod. Next trip is a half day twilite trip on Sunday at 1pm. Call for Res.

ON SUNDAY,S HALF TWILITE TRIP THEY FISHED CLOSE TO HOME AND HAD GREAT FISHING NEAR. LIMITS OF NICE BLACKS AND QUITE A FEW VERMILLIONS. NEXT TRIP THURSDAY, AND SUNDAY.

On Wednesday 9/23 Velocity returned with full limits of rockfish fishing at Ano Nuevo island. They had a nice mix of Black,yellow and red rockfish. Next rockfish trip will be Sat 9/26. The next Albacore trip with space is on Wed. 10/14. Call the shop for info.

On Monday labor day Velocity ran a half day rockcod trip. They returned with 3/4 limits of nice fish for 20 people. They fished local reefs in about 100 ft of water.

Just a few fish short of boat limits today. The rough afternoon winds had much to do with coming up a little short. Great quality fish though, the 2 and 3 pound blacks were on the snap today, plus two real nice ling up to 16 lbs. 180 fish, 2 ling for 20 guys.

Yesterday we had an easy catch of limits for 17 people,170 fish. Fished off of Davenport with a nice mixture of coppers and reds fishing in 160 feet of water.

Friday 8/7's tuna trip was cancelled due to the high wind forecast. Next trips (weather permitting) will be Aug 13th and the 20th. Rock fishing has been a steady pick with near limits and limits on the local reefs up as far as davenport. They have been catching a nice mixture of yellows, browns and black rockfish. The next available open boat is Tues. the 11th.

We had a half-day trip this morning with an average of 5 fish per person, fishing off of Mitchel's Cove in 100 ft of water. Caught a lot of browns, nice quality fish.

Yesterday we had 280 fish for 28 people. We fished off of Ano Nuevo Island catching really nice quality yellows, a few reds, blues and 1 ling cod.

Last night we had a twilight fishing trip and caught 3/4 limits of 7-8 fish per person at 150 fish for 20 people. Fishing off of West Cliff Dr. Santa Cruz in 100 ft of water. A lot of Browns and Yellows.

Yesterday we caught 150 Fish for 16 people. Nice Black Rock Cod, Reds, Browns 2 Ling Cod up to 12lbs. We fished off of Davenport in 100ft of water.

Limits of 230 fish caught on Wednesday the 15th. Nice mixture of black cod and yellows. We fished in 80 feet of water off of Davenport in really nice weather.

fishing all week long on the local reefs with mostly light crowds and quality limits of rockfish. On Monday they caught limits of mostly brown , yellows and black rockfish- with a few big reds and one keeper ling (12 lbs). Keep calling to get on our albacore list! The offshore weather really "Blows" right now but hopefully we'll get serious about getting our first tuna runs out soon.

Fishing on Friday July 3rd was great. We went to Ano Nuevo Island and caught limits of fish with a mixture of large reds, yellows and 2 ling cod. Saturday we fished off of Davenport in 100 ft of water and caught limit with a mixture of yellows, blues and reds. Albacore is being caught 50 miles off of Santa Cruz right now. On Wednesday the 24th the Velocity had 165 fish for 18 anglers fishing off of 4 mile in 100 feet of water with blacks, yellows and reds.

On Saturday the 20th Velocity had a Twilight trip. The 25 fisherman caught 150 assorted cod .Mostly Gofer Cod and Blacks . They were fishing at the local reefs.Our next Twilight trip will be Sunday the 28th.

Fished local reefs in @ 100ft. Caught limits for everyone aboard with a mix of Yellows, Vermilion and Browns. 120 fish total.

Velocity had 14 fisherman fishing on Saturday.The 14 fisherman fished for Rock Cod off Davenport in 150 feet of water . They caught limits of assorted Cod. Mostly Browns , Yellows, Reds and Coppers.

Velocity had 23 fisherman fishing on Sunday.The 23 fisherman fished for Rock Cod off Davenport in 100 feet of water . They caught limits of assorted Cod. Mostly Browns , Blacks, Reds and one 12 pound Lingcod. A total of 260 Rock cod with crew fish.Our next Rock cod trip is Friday June 12th.

Velocity had 15 fisherman on board Sunday.The 15 fisherman fished for Rock Cod off Davenport in 100 to 200 feet of water . They caught 140 assorted Cod. Mostly Blacks, Reds and Yellows .

Saturday the 30th Velocity had a Twilight trip. The 30 fisherman caught 180 assorted cod .Mostly Reds , Yellows and Browns . They were fishing at the local reefs.

Velocity had 9 fisherman on board Friday .The nine fisherman fished for Rock cod at the local reefs . They caught early limits of assorted Browns , yellows and some large Reds. They were fishing in 60 to 80 feet of water. We have a morning trip on Sunday May 31st. We are also running a Twilight trips on this Saturday May 30th . Velocity had 26 persons fishing Saturday the 16th.The 26 fisherman fished for Rock cod off New Years Island.They caught limits of assorted Blues Coppers , Yellows and one Lingcod .

Velocity had 21 fisherman on board Saturday.The 24 fisherman fished for Rock Cod just past Davenport in 150 feet of water . They caught 240 assorted Cod. Mostly White bellies, Reds , and Brown Rock cod Our next trip will be Saturday the 16th.

On Saturday May 2nd 30 Fisherman caught 200 Reds and Yellow tail Rock cod. They were fishing on the south side of the Bay.The weather was a little rough and fogey.Our next scheduled trip will be Saturday May 9th.

On Friday May 1st we had our first Rock cod trip for this year. The 12 Fisherman had a great day. They caught 120 Red and Black Rock cod and 2 Lingcod.They were fishing off Davenport.The weather was Calm .

Saturday the Velocity had fairly tough fishing. After several stops they had managed just a few Sand Dabs each. but on the last stop the fish seemed to go on the bite. They ended the day with 125 Dabs for 13 fishing. It was the first slow day in quite awhile. Next trip is on Saturday April 4th. call 831-427-2334 for info.

Sat afternoon trip. Eight fisherman caught 220 excellent size Monterey Bay Sand Dabs 8 miles out of Santa Cruz in 300 feet of water. Next trip is Sat,7am Call 831-427-2334.

On Saturday we had an 11 man private charter. They caught 146 sand dabs and 190 Mackerel including 70 of the spanish Macks. They were mostly all very good grade. Fishing eight miles out in 300 ft of water. We may have a 1/2 day afternoon dab trip on Sat the 21st. Call us at 831-427-2334.

On Saturday the 7th the fisherman had a very busy day. They had a great run of large S,Spanish mackerel which played havoc on the tangled line situation. But the rewards were many. 1 and 2 pound mack's. When the guy's COULD reach the bottom they found good quality Sand Dabs. Total; 130 Sand Dabs, 175 Mackerel (combined species),16 fisherman. On Saturday the 21 the 17 Fisherman caught 340 Sand Dabs and 110 Mackerel. They were fishing on west side of Soquel Canyon in 250 feet of water.

450 Sand Dabs, 75 Mackerel for 16 passengers fishing on west side of Soquel Canyon in 250 feet of water.

9 passengers caught 200 Sand Dabs and 100 Mackerel. It was a beautiful flat calm Ocean today.

Windy in the early am. Got really nice later. Good fishing, Everybody had at least 25 Sand Dabs and 25 Mackerel each. Next Dab trip is Saturday. 1/2 day trip just $49.

Saturday's trip on Velocity was one stop fishing. Steady bite of nice Sand Dabs and Pacific Mackerel with a few Spanish Mackerel mixed in. 350 dabs , 160 mackerel, 19 guys fishing. A few more people seasick (big swell)
