On Saturday November 2nd the Sea Stag III was fishing for white Sea Bass. The fifteen passengers did not catch any Sea Bass but they caught eight Halibut ranging in weight from ten to thirty-five pounds. The Sea Stag III and the Stagnaro II returned on Saturday and Sunday with assorted Rockcod.The Sea Stag III was using live bait and her 16 passengers caught seven Lingcod. The Sea Stag III 26 passengers returned with early limits of assorted Rockcod and 30 Lingcod on Saturday October 5th. The weather was good with little wind and calm seas. The Sea Stag III has returned with early limits of assorted Rockcod and some large Lingcod on the past few trips. The 10 Sea Stag III fisherman on Friday, August 30th caught 25 Albacore. The fish ranged between 15 and 30 pounds. They were fishing at the 601. They had good weather. For reservations please call 831 427-0230.

The Stagnaro II has returned with early limits of assorted Rockcod and some large Lingcod on the past few trips. The Sea Stag III last Albacore trip had some bad weather but they still had 27 Albacore for 11 passengers. The Stagnaro II will fish Rockcod and the Sea Stag III will fish for Albacore Friday Saturday and Sunday. Both boats have room this holiday weekend. The weather forecast is also good for the weekend. Sunday August 18th the Sea Stag III caught 35 Albacore for 11 passengers. Fishing 20 miles off Point Sur. Fish averaged 20 pounds with a few in the 25 pound range. Most of the fish were caught on live bait. The next trips will be on Wednesday the 21ST and Saturday and Sunday the 24th.and 25th The Sea Stag is booking trips now. The Sea Stag III Sunday, August 4th was fishing 17 miles south west of Santa Cruz. The 11 fisherman caught 27 Albacore ranging in size from 12 to 25 pounds. Twelve of the Albacore were bait fish. The Sea Stag III and the Stagnaro II returned early on Saturday, July 27th with limits of assorted Rockcod.The Stagnaro II also had a 25 and a 35 pound Salmon The Sea Stag III was using live bait and her 14 passengers caught their limit of Lingcod.On Sunday the Stagnaro II had 17 passengers and the Salmon fishing was slow. The Stagnaro II returned early on Friday July 26th with limits of assorted Rockcod and a few nice Lingcod. The Sea Stag III will fish Rockcod on Sunday and the Stagnaro II will fish for Salmon. On Friday the 10th the Sea Stag III had a 20 person Salmon charter. Because of the wind the trip was switch to Rockcod. They caught 4 Halibut and an assorted number of Rockcod.

Thursday, May 2 the Sea Stag III was mooching off the Pajaro River with 13 passengers on board. They caught 14 Salmon in 80 feet of water. Tuesday the Sea Stag III was fishing off Mulligan Hill in 190 feet and caught the majority of fish at 150 feet Sea Stag III had 10 Salmon for 7 passengers and had good weather. The Stagnaro II 14 passengers were fishing off Monterey in 250 feet of water. They caught 15 Salmon with an average weight of 14 pounds. Their was two large Salmon witch weighed 26 pounds. The Sea Stag III was fishing off Point Pinos.The 10 passengers caught 15 Salmon. The fish ranged from 12 to 18 pounds and were caught shallow , 10 to 40 feet down. Salmon fishing is HOT! HOT! HOT! On Monday, April 1st the Sea Stag III had limits by 1:00pm for 26 passengers fishing off the Pajaro River. Skipper Ken Stagnaro reported the fish were being caught right at the surface to 100 feet down. Most of the fish were in the 12 to 16 pound range with a few over twenty pounds. Tuesday the 23 passengers had limits bye 10:30am.The weather continues to be great. Boats are scheduled to run all week with space available. The Sea Stag III was mooching off the soldiers club in a 180 feet of water. On Saturday, March 30th the boat had 24 passengers and they caught 21 Salmon. The Salmon ranged between 10 and 18 pounds. Starting January 1st we can fish for Rockcod in the deep water. The Sea Stag III returned to the dock early with limits of Rockcod on our first deep water trip. We are running Whale Watching trips also. Today the Stagnaro II was Whale Watching north of Santa Cruz. Its passengers and crew saw several Gray and Humpback Whales.
