On Wednesday the 24th the Velocity had 165 fish for 18 anglers fishing off of 4 mile in 100 feet of water with blacks, yellows and reds.

On Saturday the 20th Velocity had a Twilight trip. The 25 fisherman caught 150 assorted cod.Mostly Goffer Cod and Blacks . They were fishing at the local reefs.Our next Twilight trip will be Sunday the 28th.

On Friday May 1st we had our first Rockcod trip for this year. The 12 Fisherman had a great day. They caught 120 Red and Black Rockcod and 2 Lingcod.They were fishing off Davenport.The weather was Calm .

Saturday the Velocity had fairly tough fishing. After several stops they had managed just a few Sand Dabs each. but on the last stop the fish seemed to go on the bite. On Saturday the 7th the fisherman had a very busy day. They had a great run of large S,panish mackerel which played havoc on the tangled line situation. But the rewards were many. 1 and 2 pound macks. When the guy's COULD reach the bottom they found good quality Sand Dabs. Total; 130 Sand Dabs, 175 Mackeral (combined species),16 fisherman. Velocity had a great week of rockfishing. The local reefs are starting to kick out some real quality fish, although you still have to work at it. The real shallows have been producing big blacks and some nice verm's. Sundays trip was a no brainer for a change up at the island.
