on Dec 10th Cod Fishing was solid with real good quality bottom fish. We had some monster Reds, nice size Blacks, a 10 lb Cabezone and 3 ling keepers. Limits for everyone. Cod fishing closes Dec 31st so get your last trip in!

Next Cod trips are Friday the 2nd: 1/2 day Cod and Saturday is a 7 hour Cod trip.

For Thanksgiving week we will have Half day Cod trips on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday will be the seven hour Cod trip.

Rockfishing has been excellent up at the 4 mile reef and the area. Great quality Black Rockfish have been the norm with a few big reds and an couple ling here and there. Next trips will be friday the 11th and saturday the 12th.

Cod fishing continues to be solid on the local reefs. Next available trips are Friday the and Sunday the 2nd are half day trips. Saturday the first is a evening twilite trip. ***** We are tentatively scheduling albacore trips on Wednesday October 5th and Wednesday October 12th. These trips will run contingent on favorable weather and fish reports. Call and sign up, trips are limited to 16 people

Our last Salmon trip had lots of action although we only landed 5 keepers. The action remains good right outside our harbor. we are going to have one more Salmon trip on Saturday before the season ends Sunday. We also have a half day Cod trip on Friday and a evening Cod trips on Saturday. Get on our Albacore list. We are planning some trips in a couple of weeks or in early October if reports continue to improve.

The Salmon are Biting Right out in front of the harbor! We've just scheduled a trip for Monday the `12th. The season closes next week so book now!

Cod fishing was a little tough this week due to the high surf forecast. However we were still getting close to limits of slightly smaller grade of school fish. Next trips are Friday and Saturday the 9yh and 10th 1/2 day trips.

Rock fishing remains very good on both day and half day trips. It was pretty much limits for almost all trips this week with a couple of nice ling on most trips with several big reds on each trip as well. the next Salmon trip will be Wednesday the 24th. Cod trips will be friday Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday's rockcod trip was a steady bite with good quality fish. We had limits for 36 people. The catches included 10 reds from 6 to 9 pounds, 2 Ling cod to 14 pounds and a whole bunch of big Brown Rockfish While fishing main Santa Cruz reef. We had lots of action on our last Salmon trip on Wednesday the 17th. We only landed 2 keepers though while tossing back 7 shakers and missing dozens of other bites! Bummer. Next Salmon trip will be Wednesday 8/24.

On Wednesday we had 30 Salmon for 22 people. Action was steady. We lost as many opportunities as we caitalized on though. Next Salmon trips will be on Monday the 15th and Wednesday the 17th. Cod fishing remains very good on the local reefs with limits or near limits on all trips.

On thursday we had 13 Salmon for 21 guys. The action was steady in the late morning and afternoon. Sea Lions were a real problem taking as many fish from us as we landed! We also had released 10 undersize fish. Next trip for Salmon is Wednesday the 10th. Next Cod trips are Sat:twilite trip, Sun: morning 1/2 day, Mon: morning 7 hour trip.

Thursdays Salmon trip came back with 23 fish for 14 fisherman up to 15 lbs. They released 20 shakers and lost many fish as well. the action was steady all day. Our next trip for Salmon will be on Thursday August 4th. Cod fishing remains very good on the local reefs this year! Most trips are getting full limits. Next Cod trips are: Sunday is a morning 1/2 day and Tuesday is a 7 hour trip.

PARTY BOATS GOT LIMITS OF SALMON ON SUNDAY. WE WILL BE ADDING A SALMON TRIP ON THURSDAY THE 28TH. lIMITS AND MOSTLY LIMITS WERE CAUGHT ON ALL ROCKFISH TRIPS THIS WEEK. THE QUALITY OF THE FISH WAS NOT AS GOOD AS IT HAS BEEN. THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF FEED AROUND AND THE FISH ARE STUFFED! OVER ALL ITS BEEN GREAT FISHING ON THE LOCAL REEFS THOUGH. NEXT COD TRIPS ARE: TUESDAY, FRIDAY AND SUNDAY ARE 1/2 DAY TRIPS

Were still catching Salmon! Thursday we only caught 13 keeper kings and released 15 undersize fish. But the action was steady even though it was an early morning hot bite that we did not get to in time. Our next Salmon trip is Thursday the 21st. Rockfishing for cod has been great on the local reefs Saturdays 1/2 day had limits for 25 people with many vermillions and a 15lb Ling cod. Next trips are Tues and Sat. Friday is a twilite trip and Sunday is a 1/2 day cod.

Limits of cod and snapper were caught on every trip this week on both 1/2 day and full day trips. **************THE SALMON ARE NOW BITING THIS WEEK! SEVERAL CHARTER AND PRIVATE BOATS GOT LIMITS! Saturday we had near limits of nice quality Brown, Black and Yellowtail rockfish or 30 people while fishing the reefs north of Santa Cruz in 80 feet of water. Next Cod trips are WEd and Sat: all day trip, Friday and Sunday are 1/2 day morning trips.

Wednesday's Salmon trip was filled with action! The boat returned with 6 keeper king, lost two fish close to the boat and released 15 just barely undersized fish. Next Salmon trip is scheduled for Wednesday the 29th. Our last Cod trip was Saturday evening twilite trip. The boat had near limits of fish, with very good size Browns and Reds mixed in and two keeper Ling Cod. Next Cod Trips are Mon: All day trip, friday: morning 1/2 day Saturday : all day, and Sunday and Monday: morning 1/2 day.

Thurday we had limits of nice quality yellows coppers and brown rockfish, fishing up near davenport. Saturday night we caught 270 rockfish and one keeper ling cod for 32 people. this was a 1/2 day twilite trip. Next trips are wed: half day morning trip thursday: Salmon fishing, Sat: twilite Cod and Sunday has two trips: morning 7 hour cod trip and eve twilite.

Our last Cod trip was on Sunday. We fishwd up near Davenpot they caught good quality bottom fish including Coppers, Browns and Reds plus one keeper Ling Cod. Next Trips will be on Thursday. Saturday is an evening twi lite Cod trip and Sunday is a morning half day trip.

On Sundays cod trip it took a littlebit of looking around but they finally found good fishing up north near davenport. The sea were kcked up due to the June storm the night before. But we manage to get near limits of great quality fish including several 6 pound reds and some great 4 to 5 pound coppers. Next cod trip will be a local trip on tuesday the 7th and Saturday is a twi-lite cod and Sunday will be a 7 hr cod trip.

On Suday the 30th we had an even twi-lite Rockfish trip. While it was quite a windy night the folks still managed to score 5 or 6 fish each in rough conditions. We had some nice sized black rockfish and some reds mixed in and one ling 7 lb. Next trips this week are: Fri; morning half day cod, Saturday; evening twi lite cod and Sunday; 7 hour cod trip @ 6;30 am.

Rock fishing has been great on the local Santa Cruz reefs. on both Thursday and Saturday Velocity scored limits of quality fish. Saturday was a half day trip. They had limits for 27 people which included over 60 Vermillion. Next cod trips is thursday and Saturday we have our first twilite cod trip scheduled at 4 pm. Our next Salmon trip is Wednesday the 25th and Saturday the 28th.

The next cod trips will be on Wednesday the 11th and Saturday is a half day trip.

Monday's Rockfish had limits of nice Vermillions (Reds) and blues and yellows fishing the local reefs. Next Rockfish trip is a half day trip on Sunday. The next Salmon trips are on Friday and Monday.

On Friday Captain Mike Baxter took over the controls on Velocty for the day. The boat returned with the best score in weeks, landing 10 keeper Kings up to 15lbs for 19 anglers. They also released a few shakers and missed a couple of opertunities which made for a GOOD amount of action for the folks. Monday the boat returned with 5 fish for 12 guys and released 15 shakers. It was another day of good action. Salmon fishing remains very spotty with many undersized fish being released and just a few keepers being boated. Our next trips are Saturday the 23rd and Monday the 25th.

On Monday we had a lot of action but only landed 5 keeper salmon for 15 people. We released 12 shakers and lost three other keepers at the boat. Next trip is Wed and Sat.

Salmon Fishing: On Monday We had 12 pretty big fish (average 11 lbs). The biggest was 25! We had 18 fishing. We also released 4 shakers and lost Several fish close to the boat . Great weather, Great Day! Next Trips Thurs, Fri, and Sunday.

We had lots of action today on our first Salmon trip. While our total was only 12 fish kept we had to release over 20 shakers! Most of these were almost legal size too. the action was very fast and steady in the morning Then the bite tapered off in the afternoon. The largest fish was about 12 pounds.

We did not get out this weekend due to the tnis weekend due to the tsunami. our next trip for Sand dabs is Saturday March 19th. ======== Salmon Season Opens April 2nd!! Book Now!! ===========

Were taking reservations for opening day Salmon. All indications point to an April 2nd opening. We'll no for sure in a week. Call the office to reserve. It will book fast! Our last Sand Dab trip was Great. Saturday the fifth We had 25 people. They caught 730 Dabs in a flat calm ocean with sunny skies! Great trip! We also RELEASED 3 SALMON!! Next dab trip is Saturday the 12th.

On Saturday and Sunday the 19th and 20th we fished Sand dabs about 8 miles out. Saturday was as good as it gett! 17 guys caught 725 Dabs while only going down 10 to 100 feet. The fish schooled up right under the boat for over an hour! Sunday was good fishing but quite different. The Mackerel were in! We caught 125 Pacific Mackerel, 325 Dabs and over 100 king fish for 17 people. Next trip is Saturday the 26th.

What a day! We had 17 people take home 725 sand dabs. We fished the local waters, fish were biting in shallow depths 50-75ft. Next trip tomorrow morning 02/20/2011

Sunday we fished Sand Dab. Had a little locating them at first, but ended up with nice catches of near 300 dabs for 14 people. next trip is SAT the 19th and Sun the 20th.

23 people came fishing and enjoyed a sunny morning on the Monterey Bay. We fished the local waters, 250 - 300 ft deep and our guests came back with over 530 Sand Dabs. That's right, 530!!

On Saturday the 22nd 18 guys caught 800 Quality Sand Dabs! It was wide open fishing from the first drop! this was a half day trip and each fisherman still got 40 - 50 fish each. Next trip is Saturday the 29th. Only $49.95

Today's trip was GREAT. Nearly ideal weather conditions led to 680 sand dabs caught by a mere 30 people! We fished the local waters in Santa Cruz, to 250 foot depths. Our next trip is Saturday, January 22, 2011.

Today's catch was quite favorable! Calm conditions yielded nearly 300 good-quality Dabs for 10 fishermen and women fishing local waters, to about 250' depths. What a day!

On Tuesday the 27th Dab fishing started out pretty slow, but the last stop was outstanding. 18 guys caught nearly 400 Sand Dabs. 300 were caught on the last stop. Better yet the quality was as good as we've seen all year! Next dab trip is Sunday the 9th. Half day trips are only $49.95
